A day of rest

Yesterday was our day of rest. At least for Shon Robinsonand I(Rob and Gary had some crazy plans so they didn’t get back till late). We picked up our family of eight, family of five and family of three and drove them to the train station. It’s amazing to see everyone smiling, full of energy and ready for the next part of their journey. Bittersweet moments.We were lucky enough to witness the reuniting of some of our new friends with their family members. We were blessed to meet Marina. This woman is so full of positivity and pure joy. We learned that her daughter and granddaughter were expecting Marina and all we had to do is drive Marina 40 minutes north of Krakow. Since is was late when we picked Marina up at the border, we booked the hotel room for her and picked her up the following day. Our short 40 minute drive was full of jokes and laughing. I don’t think that Shon and I laughed so much since we got here.

I overheard the conversation Marina had with her granddaughter. You could tell the granddaughter is very close to her grandma. One thing that stood out from her conversation was: “Grandma, i showed my friends a picture of you and they think you are so beautiful, we are all waiting for you by the road. Also grandma, did you lose weight? You look like a super model”. I also learned that grandma was bringing a lot of toys that were left behind. Grandma went through list of the things she was bringing her granddaughter it was easily half of Marina’s only duffel bag.

As we were approaching the destination we didn’t need to follow the gps anymore, all we had to do is to drive to an inn where two little girls sitting in the chairs by the road. They were patiently waiting for Marina.
